St. Martin/Maarten St. Martin/Maarten is not just a place of relaxation. The island offers many activities for children… young and old.
Island Fun
Soar through the rain forest by Zip Line at the Loterie Farm. Located near Colombier, this is a great adventure for all ages. There are two zip lines that go through the rain forest, one for small children and a harder one for teens and adults. There are restaurants on site, so make a day of it. Lots of fun, and a good “workout” on the adult course. Remember to wear shoes that tie up… no sandals or open toes.
Flutter on over to the Butterfly Farm. Located at the top end of the island by Orient Beach, this enclosed farm is great fun for children of all ages, and includes full education on butterflies. The butterflies are everywhere, and will even land on your hands and shoulders.
Water Sports
For those feeling the need for speed, take a spin around St. Martin/Maarten in a Scarab speedboat. Enjoy the beauty of the island from the water, with 700 horses, and a top speed of 65 mph.

Aqua Mania Adventures offers water fun for all ages. Trips available include: Saba for hiking and world-class diving, St. Barts to see the life-styles of the rich and famous, or the British Sisters “Anguilla and Prickly Pear”, boasting powder white beaches and reefs with thriving marine life. With sunset dinner cruises for adults, floating playgrounds for children, and a variety of watersports, there is indeed something for everyone.
Scuba diving is an often-overlooked way to see a completely different side of the Caribbean. Even though much of St. Maarten’s reef close to shore was destroyed by hurricanes, there are still some canons from the Fort Amsterdam, and some fascinating wrecks to explore. Newcomers can learn how to scuba dive in just three hours. Discover Dive Safari.
